Medman, I know a little about intersexed babies. Their penises DO look fake. Some intersexed people have large clitories, but they are usually not that big. The penises are also in odd places. It should be about where the clit is. There are some prosthesis that look like the one’s the women are wearing. I’d have to say fake.

Chris, I agree. Everyone should be treated like human beings — no matter their genitalia, sexual orientation, skin color, etc.

The drawback to this seemingly freakish multi-sexed creature? Extreme liklihood of mental and physical handicaps because of the irregular chromosomal configration.

The more common type of ‘hermaphrodite’ is the XX/XY double chromosonal pair which results in the typical “shemales.” Standardized male genetalia, functional and most often sterile - and often a split scrotum with vagina, or, if estrogen is induced, a slightly ‘puffy’ vagina - also non-reproductive. Bodies tend to be a hodge-podge of the genders. Male development with extreme gynomastia as well as patchy body-hair which isn’t quite masculine, but too extreme to be feminine. These ‘hermaphrodites’ are often given hormones in adolescence when they parents decide the gender they will pursue. This will make them either decidedly male or female in appearance. In rare cases, early introduction of testosterone may cause full descent of the gonads and serility might be averted.

I have been with a girl (girl counts as we were just 16) and was In love with her and did not want any body else. I was willing to stay with her forever, She had other ideas….. The point is, What I felt for that girl I can feel for a (I dont know what to call them and refuse to insult them by trying so ill just say A woman who happens to also have male parts) person of that sex just as strong…

All of those men lucky to have discovered those amazing women and still love each other today are VERY LUCKY……….

As far as a sole mate, Only a Female without or a female with those parts I can trully say is more than just fucking, With me It is love and I wont just jump in the sack with one just to say I did… I didnt do that girl at 16 that way and I just wont do that to the other, Simple as that…. Its too bad there are not more men like you out there in the world that are unconditional about loving a partner regardless of their differences. I have spent 42 years hoping to meet someone like that to no avail.

Intersex people DO exist, though this IS an umbrella term as it includes those with both sets of genitalia, but also other genital anomalies, a more dictionarial description would be those with ambiguous or uncertain genitalia. I am acquainted with at least two intersex people, they are not very open about that for obvious reasons because society is so reluctant to change. Neither Intersexed individuals, nor transsexuals get much protection under laws in many areas of the world, which results in a lot of hate crimes, which should never happen if you ask me, or at least they should be punished accordingly, a rare occurence…

As for those who just want to get in bed with a hermaphrodite, how about you think about the person, because they are people as well, not just some trophy to flash about to your drunken friends. I wouldn’t mind getting together with an intersexed person, but if I did happen to get that lucky, I would treat them with 100% respect, because I believe they deserve no less, and I would love them for the person they are, not because they just happen to be uniquely equipped.

It doesn’t matter what others think or say. “That’s not normal” is really an incomplete sentence. It should be “That’s not normal, to me” or “That’s not normal for most people”, which is fine because you’re not them and their preferences are not yours.

okay the comments are a little dated, and they are hopefully dead now, but you are the kind of people that (intersexed, hermaphrodites - or other preffered name - i personally like humans) scare these people away.

You look at what they have got, what they are but not who they are. These people are not objects to be gawked over they have feelings and needs like everyone else, I personally would find it amusing if everybody woke up one morning and found they had both pieces of equipment, that way they could truly live life and feel what it’s like to be constantly worried about meeting somebody and they’re reaction to what they might find; would they then spread rumours, cause problems ridicule you.
Those who make fun are jealous - that’s something I have stuck by for a very long time, several people in this post have already said that how can you say that “you know they are fake 100%” without any proof, have you met a real intersex person the answer is probably no; and those that have probably wrote a post similar to mine.

So to all those who see, women, men, intersex (sorry if offense is taken, none is intended) as sex objects go downstairs and stick your head in the oven seeing as that’s all you are probably good for.

I am a heterosexual male with no differences in my genitalia, but I was severely phased by some of the comments of the narrow minded SOB’s that hound and post to forums like this purely because they need the attention, because mummy didn’t love them or probably more to the case loved them too much.

When I met my girlfriend, I didn’t say to her “oh by the way just to make sure do you have a vagina” - I got to know her first. If I had have found out that she also had other appendages then I would have been a bit surprised at first but it’s the person that counts not what they have.

I do have to admit I do have a certain amount of attraction to this idea, however I would not go searching just to “fuck one of these” (apologies as this is not a term I would use - used purely to make a point).

I am in a relationship and have been for over a year now, she is beautiful in anyway (she does not have any genital differences) but I LOVE her i’m not with her just because I want to fuck her.

I agree with Dave and many other people further up the post who think that some of the talk on here has been trashy and downright rude, but I do not think (and I know this is not the case) that people should be forced to have surgery or feel that they have to so that they can fit in.

I am indeed a very open minded person and if I got to know a lady and a relationship started to occur, leading onto what is the natural progression in a relationship and she told me, or I found out I would not instantly be disgusted if anything I would be intrigued and would do my best to make her or him (depending on how they see themselves) feel as comfortable as possible at the end of the day they (I hate saying they as I feel like i’m segregating people) are humans to and deserve the same respect as any other human, well most untrashy humans that is.

As far as we know in modern humans aren’t capable of impregnating, whether they are intersexed or not, usually because humans do not possess both sets of complete genitalia. But in a good proportion of cases, are able to produce as one gender.

Yet in the animal kingdom, many animals who do possess both sets of male and female reproductive organs and exist as simultaneous hermaphrodites are also unable to reproduce on their own. In essence, these particular species of animals still need a partner or foreign sperm/eggs to reproduce.

Also, I believe it is possible to have a penis and partial vulva (probably only a lower vagina or simply a vaginal opening in the perinuem without clitoris which is practically is a penis and labia majora which may also possess - or not or a vulva with male parts as seen by certain cases. Sidenote, I think the perinuem is a weird area of the body, because in some women it is about the same distance as it would be on man’s body. About 4-6 inches in between genitals (vagina or scrotum) and anus. Yet in some women, the perineum is almost unnoticeable, if the vagina is less than an inch away from the anus.

Given hundreds of variations among genitalia and unpredictable results of nature. It is hard to point to a prototypical condition for an intersex genitals.

This has allowed the newborn to have a complete set of both male and female. So many want to yell “fake”, but nature creates many oddities, well beyond the norm. Also, you can only yell “fake” when you can also professionaly yell “real”.
